Across the Liverpool City Region business support is delivered via the growth hub with local broker St Helens Chamber guiding users to the relevant support. Growth Hub offers advice and support, some of it funded, on a wide range of topics, some specialised and sector focussed others relevant to any business; Starting a Business, HR, Financial Control, Exporting, Marketing, Supply Chain Opportunities and Tendering.
Additionally the Growth Hub keeps local companies up to speed with local and national initiatives, such as LCR 4.0, improvements in the infrastructure benefiting business, government initiatives via its website and events.

Funding and business finance
As part of the wider Liverpool City Region, St Helens sits within an Assisted Area. This means that financial support may be available for eligible investment projects from new and established St Helens companies.
St Helens Council is working with the Local Enterprise Partnership and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority to secure support from the Liverpool City Region Single Investment Fund.
In addition to accessing finance via the Growth Hub SME’s can also go to the British Business Bank which has launched the £400Million Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund.
